so i had this poem memorized since seminary in high school when i heard it, liked it, memorized it, but its been on my mind lately so lets see if i can recall it.
BUILDER
I walked one down through a lonely town
and saw men tearing a building down,
with a ho he ho and a husky yell
they swung a beam and a side wall fell.
I asked the foremen are these men skilled
the kind you'd hire if you had to build,
why no he chuckled no indeed
the common laborer is all i need,
why i can destroy in a day or two
what builders have taken weeks to do.
I thought to myself as i went on my way
which of these roles have i tried to play ?
Am i the builder who works with care
strengthening lives by rule and square
helping them to be the best the can
making them into a well made plan.
or am i the wrecker who walks around
content with the labour or tearing down?
So i guess maybe thats something we can all think about.

dealing with ex's
OK this one has to be quick because i have to go teach...... I had the most interesting experience that has lead me to want to be a better person. So my sister and her significant other where having a Christmas party, a cookie decorating one for the kids. Well a cute blonde girl walked in and my sister gave her a hug and so did her boyfriend i talked to her she was really nice etc. After she left i asked my sister who that was, i thought i new most her friends, she said oh its his ex wife, WHAT! i said i was floored. My sister and her significant other are hanging out with his ex wife? I was puzzled. So once the night slowed down i pulled him aside to ask the ever posing question, "how can you two even still be friends let alone every one hang out together?" He talked to me for ever, a hour, about it but in a nut shell he said the following,
I decided to forgive and move on, and the only was to truly move on is to let go of all the drama and hurt feelings.
I decided to just see her as a friend just like my other friends
I realized that we where two different people and that's OK we where not meant to be together
I realized the drama comes from both sides feeding into each other, so i just decided to forget about it
I DECIDED TO FORGIVE
He said that was the hardest thing at first to forgive, but he said it only works if you both agree to do it. This intells not talking about each other unless its positive, to look at the situation literally like they are a friend, how do you treat your friends?
This all makes sense to me i just didn't think it was possible, but they are showing it is.
Its amazing instead of hurting each other they help each other, when i was there she got really sick and needed to go to the hospital her new husband was out of town so she called my sister and him and they took her to the hospital and stayed with her all night. They communicate with each other in a positive way he said.
There was so much more to it then that, but out of all of it i got the point.
his point to me was you only fight if that's what your choosing to do. He said its not all about you always getting your way, because in real life that rarely happens anyways.
So i took it to heart and you know what it works. for example randy was coming up here to work for the week so he just brought my kids back home and i didn't have to meet him. But the next week he asked if i would please drive to globe which is 2.5 hours from my house and only a hour from his, but he was driving from safford to the valley and since he brought them all the way up the last time that was fair. So i did. We also are trying to be more accommodating of each other with our kids. Like switching around weekends if necessary. we also decided to be more flexable with our times and meeting places. But we are trying to make sure things are fair, but more important that the kids are not noticing any fighting and get to spend as much time with both parents. Its not there fault this all happened it never is the kids fault and yet they seem to get the worse end of the deal. And now last week he ask us if we wanted to all go to Mexico together with the kids, not sure we will but it the thought that we can both live our life and be ok with it and both be good parents to our kids. Yes we have alot to argue about but why? whats the point? so Hopefully this will continue and there will be less drama and the kids will feel better about everything.

Kidney Stones

So this is what they look like. They are small and as sharp as glass when you pass them. Its worse pain then giving birth. I know i did both in the same week i can honestly say that. So they are not your friend you don't want them! I on the other hand have to learn to like them. In estimation i have had around 35-40 of them so far. Its come down to a genetic dysfunction. They get worse with every pregnancy and bigger. For example a normal person can pass one that is between 1-3 mm I have never passes anything bigger then a 4mm. My last stone they went in to break up was not in mm it was in cm. It was 1.6cm. That like a really big diamond. So i went in for lithotripsy again and they used the laser and broke it up into smaller hopefully passable sizes. Once i get my left side taken care of well then its time for the right side i have six stones in my right side all different sizes. Its so not fun but its life. My biggest fear, that my kidney can only take so much stress and surgery and getting beat up before it quits. So hopefully one of my five brothers and sisters are a blood match because worse case i need a kidney transplant, thank goodness for medical science. But in all seriousness i received a amazing blessing from my husband and i know everything will be fine and work out just fine. Besides whats the scripture D&C 38:30 ? if you are prepared you shall not fear. I feel OK with everything now in my life. Thank goodness for a bigger plan which includes that wonderful thing called repentance... huh mom... we where just talking on the way home about repentance and how no one is perfect but those who use it become better stronger people. as the saying goes "good lumber is hard to find, the harder the wind blows the stronger the tree grows" . Oh and how we all have our trials and our weaknesses.

the secret

so the best thing about today was the fact that we got to go to Church. Ty was so cute we got to put her hair in her first pony tails. it was exceptionally cute. considering she is six weeks old and has pony tails. The kids went to there new primary classes and Keylee and Blake are no longer in nursery. They both did really good until they started to hand out balloons to those who has birthday and they really wanted one. but other then that the transition was really good. We love our ward. we have some dear friends, hi Becky :) and i have had great visiting teachers. Tj has allot of friends and growing up in this area he has people he already new and people that new his family. even out bishop new his grandfather really well. The girls love being her because they get to play in the snow. Which being in the valley they don't have. We got them in there boots ski pants hats gloves and coats and its still cold. but its snow. We watched a interesting video tonight it was called "The secret" Its not a movie that you see in the theater. But some thing you buy from Barnes and Noble. Basically it tells you about how you get what you put out. The law of attraction, you reap what you sow, how ever you word it it's true. Tj and I then talked about how it related to our life and the church. And what we wanted to change in it. so we both busted out with our journals and started writing our goals etc. If you have seen you know what we are talking about. If not go find it and watch it. It remind us that we control everything in our life all the good and all the bad. We cant be accountable for each other just our selves. So now we will see what new and amazing things happen. Anyone needs to borrow it let us know.
